New Double-Decker Services

Commuters in Malaysia have seen old and new express bus operators launching their brand-new double-decker buses in recent months. These buses are deployed on new as well as existing routes. The following is the list of operators that Jom Naik Bas! have compiled for your reference. Jom Naik Bas! appreciates if any mistakes are corrected and new inputs to the list.

Utama Ekspres utilises its two new MAN 24.400 Superior Coach double-deckers on the Kuantan to Kuala Perlis route. The service will also call at Temerloh, Ipoh, Butterworth, Alor Setar, Changloon and Kangar.

Cepat Ekspres

Also using the MAN 24.400 double-decker buses, Cepat Ekspres currently operates their brand-new buses on the Segamat to Kuala Lumpur via Tangkak route.

Cepat Ekspres have just launched its latest double-decker service from Segamat to Kuala Perlis via Melaka, Seremban, Ipoh, Butterworth, Sungai Petani and Alor Setar.

Plusliner Xtreme

The 72-seater Xtreme deckers are now serving the Seremban to Johor Bahru route. Jom Naik Bas! was told that the service is hugely popular among commuters and sees good loads on the buses.

The Kuala Lumpur-Kuantan service has been extended to Seremban with immediate effect. A new service is expected to be launched soon.

CepatSedia Express

Commuters who prefers double-deckers between Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur can now choose to travel on CepatSedia Express, which recently introduced its first Scania K124EB double-decker on the route.

SP Bumi Express

This established operator from Terengganu is now operating its fleet of Scania K124EB double-deckers on routes from its homebase in Kuala Terengganu to Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Klang and Shah Alam. Occasionally, it will also operate on routes from its homebase to the northern states as and when it is necessary.

  1. Hi Sir

if we will like to book the bus for half a day, how much will it cost?

we need a double deck bus that can take up to 55 pax.

we will be bringing our students around singapore for half a day.

    please advise.
    thank you.

  2. Hi Rebecca.

There aren’t that many companies that operates double-deck buses. With the number of expected passengers at 55, the only choice would be SBS Transit. However, I understand they do not do any charters.

Woodlands Transport also operates high-deck buses that can carry up to 40 passengers. Or if you prefer, open-top buses, you may approach HippoTours directly for a quotation.
