Konsortium Bas Ekspres Semenanjung or KBES has announced that it will shift its southbound services from Terminal Bukit Jalil to the new Terminal Bersepadu Selatan-Bandar Tasik Selatan (TBS-BTS). The shift will take place effective Saturday, 15th January 2011. KBES buses heading to Singapore and Johor Bahru will no longer call at the temporary Terminal Bukit Jalil.
On its website (http://www.kbes.com.my/), KBES have also stated that online ticketing for southbound services from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru and Singapore will also not be available, at least until 15th January, to facilitate the shift of operations from Terminal Bukit Jalil to TBS-BTS. Online ticketing for all domestic services in Malaysia will also be temporarily suspended from 6th to 8th January 2011. This is to facilitate a system upgrade that will occur during the said period.
KBES is among a handful of operators which have decided to shift its southbound operations from Terminal Bukit Jalil to TBS-BTS, alongside Delima Express, Maju Ekspres, Cepat Ekspres and Sri Maju Ekspres. Till date, only KBES has confirmed that it will fully operate from TBS-BTS. The Singapore-based online ticketing portal (http://www.konsortium.com.sg/) remains unaffected at press time.
