Brand new fleet of buses for Panorama Melaka (PMCT)

The Panorama Melaka bus service has been given a boost in a bid to transform the company towards a reliable and efficient public transport operator in Melaka. Launched by Chief Minister of Melaka, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam on Friday, 1st October 2010, 10 brand-new midibuses were brought in to replace the current fleet of full-sized citybuses. The Hino XZU423RD1 buses were assembled by Scomi Coach and is licensed to carry as many as 31 passengers. Dubbed as the Coaster Bus, the 10 units are to replace 8 buses which were leased from Town Bus. The buses have since been returned to the owner. With the acquisition of the new fleet, PMCT is gearing up for a big expansion in the near future as it announces plans to introduce more routes in and around Melaka. PMCT, which also owns the 2 unique ex-London double-decker buses, will be able to oversee the operations of the buses it owns and manage it more efficiently. PMCT is expecting more such buses to be rolled out progressively in the coming months.

The Hino XZU423RD1 were part of Hino’s latest range of bus chassis launched last year, that includes the all-new Hino RM1ESKU and the new version of the popular RK-series, RK1JSLL. Powered by the Euro-III-compliant Hino N04C TT engine, it packs a maximum power output of 155hp. The midibus has its engine located to the forward of the bus, just slightly behind the driver’s cab. Apart from PMCT, Resorts World Genting also operates these buses for their inter-hotel shuttle service. Bodywork was assembled by Scomi Coach and has a seating capacity for 31 passengers.

  1. napa dah tak nampak lagi bas panorama yang panjang 2 & double decker

  2. Macam mana nak naik bas kalau kena tunggu berjam2.

Sepatutnya semakin maju semakin cekap… “RAKYAT DIUTAMAKAN”.
